Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
All travelers must be at least 21 years of age to attend and be vaccinated against COVID-19 according to Greece’s current travel regulations.
Dietary Restrictions
Travelers should expect meals to consist of menu items containing meat, fish, dairy and gluten. Vegetarian menus can be offered, however, due to the nature of our experience, Kefi Experience cannot accommodate vegan or gluten-free dietary restrictions.
Payment Schedule & Deadlines
A non-refundable 25% reservation fee of the total expense is due upon purchase in order to secure your spot on the tour. The remaining balance payment is due 60 days in advance of your Start Date. In case of the soft-launch weekend (Oct 5-8, 2023) the final payment has to be made by September 15th 2023. If final payment is not received within 1 week of the payment deadline, your reservation will be canceled and your spot on the trip will be re-sold to another customer.
Cancellations and Modifications Made by travelers
Kefi Experience incurs substantial non-recoverable costs and expenses in planning, preparing, and pre-paying amounts for activities and accommodations from the time of client enrolment. As a result, the initial reservation fee (25% of total expense per person) is non-refundable. For relevant cancellation fees, read our refund policy.
Reservation Transfers
Travelers are eligible to transfer their tickets to friends or family prior to one month before travel date. Travelers are required to contact Kefi Experience with any transfer requests.
In case of Trip Cancellations made by Kefi Experience
In the rare event that Kefi Experience needs to cancel or change the Start Date of any trip, you are entitled to transfer the sums paid to another Kefi Experience trip (either scheduled or at some future time within the next two (2) years) as credit. Alternatively, you may request a refund of payments made to us. For relevant cancellation fees, read our refund policy.
Travel Protection Plans
Kefi Experience is not a travel insurer and is not responsible for coverage determinations or the payment of any covered claims. Kefi Experience is not qualified or authorized to answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions, or conditions of any of the insurance coverages in the plan or to evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance coverage.
On-Tour Conduct Expectations
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards incidents of harassment and violence, whether they occur during the tour or through our various communication channels such as phone, email, chat, text, and social media. Harassment encompasses offensive language targeting individuals based on their age, race, ethnicity, color, religion, caste, national origin, ancestry, military status, marital status, physical or mental disability, gender, sexual orientation, and native language. Actions such as intimidation, verbal harassment via telephone or in person, physical and emotional threats, stalking, and any form of physical aggression are considered acts of violence. travelers who engage in harassment or violence may be promptly dismissed from the tour, and they will bear the expenses associated with their dismissal.
Pets & Service Animals
Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals.
Items prohibited from tour
To ensure the safety and welfare of all travelers, the possession or use of illegal drugs, firearms, or any other weapons is strictly prohibited during the tour.
Passports, visas & other travel documents and entry requirements
It is the sole responsibility of the travelers to ensure that they possess a valid passport, visas, and other necessary travel documents, and to verify and fulfill all entry requirements to Greece. This includes any required medical documents, testing, or proof of vaccinations (including proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, if applicable). Kefi Experience does not assume responsibility for providing such information or documentation. It is important to note that entry regulations might vary depending on the traveller's citizenship. Any expenses incurred due to delays or changes in the itinerary resulting from insufficient or incorrect travel documents or failure to meet the required entry requirements will be the sole responsibility of the travelers. In such cases, travelers will not be eligible for any refunds from Kefi Experience.
Other terms & provisions
The terms and provisions stated in these Booking Conditions take precedence over any other warranties, representations, terms, or conditions, unless explicitly mentioned in a Booking Conditions Addendum or in a letter signed by Kefi Experience. Kefi Experience strives to ensure the accuracy of its publications; however, it cannot be held liable for any typographical or printing errors, including but not limited to prices and travel credits. Kefi Experience tours are not intended for resale, and travelers must directly enroll with Kefi Experience to participate in the tours.
Personal Data
Kefi Experience will process your personal data in accordance with relevant data protection laws to fulfill your enrollment, provide customer service, and deliver the products and services related to your tour. This may involve sharing your personal data with tour affiliates, claims handlers, insurance providers, and other business partners both within and outside of the EU, including transfers to and within Greece. Kefi Experience has implemented appropriate safeguards to protect the transfer of your personal data.
Kefi Experience will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws and industry practices. In certain cases, further retention may be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Additionally, Kefi Experience may use your personal data, including email, to market products and services that align with your interests. Kefi Experience will retain your personal data for marketing purposes until you withdraw your consent. Travelers have the option to unsubscribe from any direct marketing communications by contacting Kefi Experience at any time.
Release of 3rd Party Liability
Kefi Experience does not own or operate any entities that provide goods or services for the tour, such as hotels, lodging facilities, transportation companies, visa processing services, optional excursion providers, or food service and entertainment providers. These entities, including tour directors, are independent contractors and not employees or agents of Kefi Experience. Therefore, Kefi Experience is not responsible for any negligent or intentional actions or omissions of these entities or any other third parties.
Injury, Loss or Damage
Kefi Experience shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to individuals or property, including but not limited to death, disease, sickness, delay, or inconvenience arising from events or causes beyond the direct control of Kefi Experience. This includes acts of nature or force majeure, epidemics, pandemics, public health emergencies (such as the current COVID-19 pandemic), government actions, acts of war, civil unrest, strikes or labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities or threats, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, structural issues in lodgings, mechanical failures of transportation, delays or cancellations, risks associated with animals, insects or pests, sanitation problems, food poisoning, limited access to medical care, difficulties in emergency evacuations, financial defaults by suppliers, or hazards related to water-based activities.
It is important to note that Kefi Experience is not liable for any negligent or intentional actions or omissions of third parties involved in providing goods or services.
Release of Liability
By participating in a Kefi Experience tour, travelers agree to release Kefi Experience, as well as their tour affiliates, from any and all claims related to their participation in the tour. This release encompasses claims of negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranties (express or implied), wrongful death, or any other claims based on applicable laws. Τravelers unequivocally waive any demands or claims for damages, losses, expenses (including attorney's fees), personal injury, death, bodily injury, mental anguish, emotional distress, or property damage arising from any cause related to their participation in the Kefi Experience tour.
Furthermore, travelers agree to release and hold harmless the Released Parties (Kefi Experience and its affiliates) from any decisions to cancel, modify, or delay the tour due to events beyond the reasonable control of Kefi Experience. These events include, but are not limited to, acts of nature or force majeure such as epidemics, pandemics, public health emergencies (including the COVID-19 pandemic), severe weather conditions, natural disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, fires, floods, volcanic activity, landslides), declared or undeclared wars, terrorist activities, instability in destination locations, incidents of violence, riots, sabotage, civil unrest, nationalization, strikes, labor disputes, lockouts, government orders, sanctions, quarantines, travel restrictions, transportation disruptions, chemical or radioactive contamination, or any other reasons that actually or potentially make it impossible or illegal for Kefi Experience to conduct the tour as initially planned.
Traveler Inconvenience and Risk
Travelers acknowledge that travel entails certain inconveniences and risks, which may include but are not limited to illness, diseases, natural phenomena, geographical and climatic conditions, varying hygiene standards, infrastructure issues (such as road maintenance, transportation delays, and accommodation conditions), civil unrest, vandalism, crime, political instability, and terrorism. They understand that medical services or facilities may not be readily accessible or available during the entire duration or parts of the tour, and even if available, they may not meet the standards of their home location or country. Additionally, travelers recognize that travel in other countries differs from travel in their home country and that different parts of the world present unique health, disease, and safety concerns.
Travelers agree to assume all risks associated with bodily injury, death, emotional distress, property damage, inconvenience, and/or loss resulting from negligence or any other actions of any individuals or entities, including the risks mentioned above. They fully intend to accept all the risks involved in travel and participation in the program and release Kefi Experience from any and all liabilities to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Activities Outside of Tour
Kefi Experience bears no responsibility for any activities that take place outside of the designated tour activities.
Medical Treatment
Travelers acknowledge and agree that in the event of their illness or incapacitation, Kefi Experience and its employees or contractors have the authority to take any necessary actions for their safety and well-being. This includes arranging medical treatment and facilitating their return home at their own expense. Travelers authorize Kefi Experience, at its sole discretion, to contact their designated emergency contact(s) regarding health issues or any other matters related to their tour. In the case of a medical emergency, Kefi Experience will make efforts to ensure appropriate treatment is provided, and travelers grant authorization for Kefi Experience to do so. However, it is important to note that Kefi Experience cannot guarantee the availability or effectiveness of emergency treatment and will not assume responsibility for monitoring any healthcare needs that may arise during the tour.
Additional Charges
Travelers acknowledge that they are responsible for covering the costs of any personal expenses, such as phone calls or incidental charges, incurred during their stay at the accommodations. Additionally, travelers accept liability for any damage they may cause to accommodation rooms, buses, or other property and agree to bear the associated expenses.
Media Disclaimer
Travelers acknowledge and give their consent for Kefi Experience to utilize any photographic, film, digital, or video images or recordings taken of them during the tour, as well as any comments they may make, and any photographic, film, digital, or video content shared with Kefi Experience through any means, for future publicity or marketing purposes. Travelers understand that they will not receive any compensation for the use of these materials.
Health & capabilities
The pace and physical demands of tour activities can vary. Some tour activities may involve extensive walking and may present challenges for travelers with disabilities or limited mobility. For instance, certain historical sites may only be accessible on foot and may include stairs or inclines. To ensure the best experience, Kefi Experience encourages travelers to inform them about any physical disabilities or limitations prior to booking a tour. This allows Kefi Experience to assess the suitability of the chosen itinerary and provide appropriate guidance. Kefi Experience is available to discuss specific accommodation requests from disabled passengers and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests whenever feasible.
